We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. You will work with patients in skilled nursing to help them improve their communication abilities and quality of life.

Requirements


  • Graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • State license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (preferred or required based on state regulations).
  • Experience in clinical, school, or healthcare settings (preferred but not mandatory for entry-level positions).
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Proficiency in creating and delivering personalized therapy plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy and patience in dealing with individuals facing challenges.
  • Clear criminal background check.
  • Reliable transportation for travel between facilities (if applicable).

Responsibilities


  • Conduct evaluations to diagnose speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to patient needs.
  • Provide therapy to improve communication skills, such as articulation, fluency, and language comprehension.
  • Educate patients and their families about therapy strategies and progress.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including educators, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulations.
  • Stay updated with advancements in speech-language pathology practices and technologies.
